This week’s Tasty Tuesday is a definite winner! My mouth is watering just looking at the photos…. YUM!
As ONEHOPE continues to raise awareness during ovarian cancer and breast cancer awareness months (September and October, respectively) I’m excited to give you another recipe idea to make when hosting a fundraising wine tasting to kick cancer! The prosciutto wrapped asparagus pairs nicely with ONEHOPE California Chardonnay, which helps support breast cancer research through Gateway for Cancer Research. This medium-balanced Chardonnay has tasting notes of vanilla, coconut, and tropical fruit with hints of banana and pineapple which balance out the more savory notes of the prosciutto. – 6 ounces sliced prosciutto, halved horizontally
– 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
Working one at a time, wrap halved prosciutto slice on each asparagus spear at an angle, covering the entire length of the spear. Repeat with remaining prosciutto and asparagus.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add asparagus and cook until prosciutto is crisp and asparagus is tender, about 2-3 minutes.
